COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY
I believe strongly in Christian Counseling and that with God’s help we can each choose to live the abundant life God provided through Christ Jesus. I see our counseling relationship as one in which you are in charge of setting your goals and I am honored to walk with you toward achieving your goals. I expect that you will be involved in the counseling process and that I work with you, not for you. My approach to therapy is holistic: Body, Soul and Spirit. We will discuss your issues from all three perspectives and bring in scriptures, resources and prayers that may be meaningful to you. Should you desire to make an appointment, I will email you several forms to fill out along with directions to my practice.
Recommendation Letter from Dr. Ron Braund
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing a letter of highest recommendation on behalf of Tracy Hurst, Licensed Professional Counselor. I have known Tracy as president and founder of AlphaCare Christian Therapy Services.
Tracy joined our counseling staff in 2000 where she worked primarily with adult & adolescent females on a variety of issues. Tracy is an excellent communicator and presents herself in a professional manner. In addition, she is competent to counsel high profile clients with confidence and ease. Clients often reported significant progress from the time spent working with Tracy.
Tracy’s practice was built on positive results and referrals. In addition to her counseling practice, Tracy was a frequent guest and fill-in host on the AlphaCare radio program, “Marriage and Family Today,” which aired daily on Moody Radio in Atlanta. She continues in the radio industry with a segment titled, “Tips with Tracy” which airs every Thursday on A.M. 1300. Her commitment to serving others was demonstrated by accepting an appointment by the Governor of Georgia to join the Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists tasked with evaluating and approving the liscensure of counselors.
Tracy took a sabbatical from counseling with AlphaCare in 2006 for maternity leave. She is now desiring to return to her counseling practice while she continues her radio and speaking. It’s my pleasure to recommend Tracy for your professional counseling needs.
Respectfully,
Dr. Ron L. Braund
