“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5
“If God is for you, who can be againtst you? “
Romans 8:31
Have you ever felt utterly alone in this world and wondered if anyone out there was on your side? I have experienced this. The truth is, we can be smiling on the outside and standing in the middle of a huge crowd, yet on the inside suffer the depths of loneliness. When loneliness knocks on our door, we can either open the door to self-pity and despair or run to God and His Word.
The only thing that gets me through times of feeling alone (real or perceived) is knowing that God is ALWAYS with me. Each of us at one time or another will feel misunderstood and lonesome, but there is great comfort awaiting us through our relationship with Jesus. The question is: to what or whom will run to?
No matter what you are going through at this time you can rest in the truth that God will never leave you nor forsake you. God is always for you. Your career maybe falling apart or a friend may have just let you down, but Jesus is always for you. He is the only One who can fill every void in your soul. He can be your husband, mother, father, friend, healer, friend and His love is unconditional. In earthly relationships there are often conditions put upon us, but with God there are no strings attached!
So run to God today. Tell Him how you feel and thank Him for always being there for you. Let us remember that God is only a prayer away.
Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for Your unconditional love. No matter what is going on I can always count on You. You are for me and not against me and Your love is amazing. May I rest today in the fact that You are always with me. Amen.”
i liked the message a lot thanks.
Hi,Tracy….How are you! Thanks for taking sometime to reach out,to others feeling lonely.Today,Its thanksgiving……my mom was my best friend, and we both have been eachother’s cheerleaders, our whole lives. The Lord called her, earlier this year.I know she is in a much better place, but I still miss her incredibly. She was the kind of woman who would share her home and food with, those in need. She was the best woman….I will ever know. You know,I think its normal to say, that every human being walking the face of this earth struggles with lonliness at one time or another,in its varied forms, that it might show up in your life. There is the teenager who struggles with their own identity, wondering where they fit,in a vast, high pressured changing world,or the person who feels rejected, unloved by significant others in their life. There are lonely people who may be married,or in a large family. There are single people longing for that special soul mate, who feel lonely.Young and old alike can struggle with lonliness……for the face of lonliness wears a thousand different faces.Yet…..somehow realizing ,your not alone in your aloness…..that others feel it too…helps you get through.Sometimes, its a good idea to ask….”What am I feeling lonely for” What needs in my life, could be met,to help me feel less lonely.Do others in my circle feel this too! And I know how lonliness can overwhelm you at times, because I have been a fellow struggler ,myself…though I smile on the outside. The most important thing ,that has helped me through, kept me……is truly knowing……..I am loved by…The God of heaven and earth….and so are you.He is good, merciful, just, loving, and can see into the very depths of our soul.He says…..Come to me,all who are weary…….And I will give you rest…….so let’s all hold out on hope for eachother…..and not give up In the words of Mark Twain….I believe,”Joy shared is joy doubled, pain shared is pain halved.”.
Nice
